Dr. Carlos E. Jones
Born in Philadelphia, Carlos has from the ages of ten through seventeen, studied and executed theatrical vocal technique and woodwind performance under the direction of D. Julius McCallough and Cindy Hopson. Later, Carlos studied at the Creative and Performing Arts High School for three years as a vocal/musical compositional major. His instructors there include D. Wendell Pritcard, David King, and Robert Walker after High school Carlos furthered his instructions as a woodwind specialist under the direction of Daniel Panchelli, he met two very innovative writers/producers, Jamaledeen Tucama and Therman Dooley. They helped Carlos channel his creativity toward commercial writing and producing for such companies as Polygram Records, Gramavision, Magnolia, and Arista, where Carlos has performed studio work, as Carlos continued to write and perform, he intersected with a well-polished writer/producer by the name of Mike Forte of Alpha International Records and Sigma Sounds Studio, who groomed Carlos writing and production skills. Carlos performed, and recorded in studios for various artists such as Richard Muti, Darryl Burgess, Veronica Underwood, Janet Jackson(studio production) Lindwood Griffin (Count Bassie’s Arranger) The Ebony String Quartet and many others.

Driven by his love for God and lifelong pursuit of knowledge, Dr. Jones earned his Doctorate in Theology in 2017. That same year, he became President of Divine Connection, where he faithfully encouraged, mentored, and inspired people of every age and background to pursue their God-given purpose.
Those who knew Dr. Jones will always remember his signature declaration:
“God Is the Greatest.”
It was more than a phrase—it was the foundation of his life, his faith, and his ministry.
Today, Dr. Carlos E. Jones Sr.’s music continues to inspire, uplift, and touch lives around the world. His legacy lives on through the countless songs he created, the artists he mentored, the productions he helped bring to life, and the lives forever changed by his ministry.
In honor of his enduring legacy, The Dr. Carlos E. Jones Sr. and Dr. Ernestine Reynolds Radio Show will continue, carrying forward the message of faith, hope, inspiration, and the transformative power of music.
Though he is no longer with us, his vision, his music, and his unwavering faith continue to echo in every heart he touched. His legacy will forever remain a part of Divine Connection Music and Performing Arts Company.
Dr. Carlos E. Jones Sr. was a gifted musician, producer, composer, arranger, and visionary leader whose life and ministry continue to leave a lasting impact through Divine Connection Music and Performing Arts Company.
In 2008, Carlos joined Divine Connection as a music producer and arranger, helping shape the sound of the organization’s artists, including Verify and Melissa Underdue. His extraordinary musical talent, creative excellence, and unwavering dedication elevated every project he touched.
In 2011, Dr. Jones co-directed the faith-based film Bus Stop – The Journey alongside Dr. Ernestine Reynolds and Victor Marino. His passion for storytelling and music helped bring the film’s inspiring message of faith, hope, and purpose to life.
Throughout his career, Dr. Jones wrote, arranged, produced, and performed original music spanning multiple genres, including Gospel, Jazz, R&B, and Country. His artistry reflected both musical excellence and a deep commitment to glorifying God through every note he created.
In 2014, Divine Connection received two honors at the Philadelphia Film Festival, recognizing excellence in Best Director and Best Producer—a testament to the dedication and vision shared by the creative team.
